Ans. Mortimer never read beyond page fifty of the book because the illustration on page fifty which threatened him for some unknown reason.
—মটিমার কখনও বইটার পঞ্চাশ পৃষ্ঠার পর পড়তে পারেনি কারণ পঞ্চাশ পৃষ্ঠার চিত্রটি যেটি কোনো অজানা কারণে তাকে আতঙ্কিত করে তুলেছিল।

Ans: I think Mortimer's hands trembled when he turned the pages of the book because he was greatly afraid of the ongoing events. (বইটির পাতা ওলটানোর সময় মর্টিমারের হাত কাঁপছিল করেন সে ঘটনাপ্রবাহে খুবই ভীত ছিল।)
(c) 'Mortimer tried to grasp the strange cycle of events he was going through-

Ans. One day I came from my aunt's house. It was raining that day. So I missed the train. I was alone at that night in the railway station. I got very scared. I sat on the bench in the platform and spent the night. Slowly I slept there. I wake up in the morning and
caught the first train.
