(a) What did the poet do after he heard the knocking at the door ? -জায় আঘাতের শব্দ শোনার পরে কবি কী করেছিলেন?
Ans. The poet opend his door when ne heard the knocking and looked to left and right.
(কনি নাজায় আঘাতের শব্দ শোনার পর দরজা খুলেছিলেন এবং ডানদিক এবং বাঁদিকে দেখেছিলেন।)
(b) What was the night like? — রাত্রিটি কেমন ছিল?
Ans. The night was still and dark. (রাত্রিটি ছিল শান্ত এবং অন্ধকারাচ্ছন্ন।)
(c) Name the insect mentioned in the poem.—কবিতায় পতঙ্গগুলির নাম লেখা।

(d) Why does the poet use the expression 'at all thrice in the last line of the poem ?–কেন কবি কবিতাটির শেষ পংক্তিতে ‘অ্যাট অল’ বা অদৌ কথাটি তিনবার ব্যবহার করেছিলেন?
Ans. The poet uses the expression at all thrice in the last line of the poem as it.
indicates that the knocking was heard thrice by him. But there was nobody at thrice of the door. (কবি কবিতাটির শেষ লাইনে আদৌ' শব্দটি তিনবার ব্যবহার করেছেন যেহেতু এটা বোঝাচ্ছে তিনি তিনবার এটা শুনেছিলেন। কিন্তু কেউই দরজার বাইরে ছিল না।)

Make meaningful sentences of your own with the following word – নীচের শব্দগুলি দ্বারা নিজের মতো অর্থপূর্ণ বাক্য গঠন করো :
Ans. (i) wee (উই) – ক্ষুদ্রকায় : He knocked at my wee door.

Ans. I spent a moonlight night in a forest guest house with my parents. In a moonlit night forest looked very interesting. Our guest house was very big and there was a place
where we were sit and saw the whole moolit forest. I heard many sound there like owl' shoots, lion's roars.
(আমি এক জ্যোত্মালোকিত রাত্রে জঙ্গলের অতিথিশালায় বাবা মার সঙ্গে কাটিয়েছিলাম। জ্যোৎস্নালোকিত রাত্রে জাল আরও কৌতূহলী হয়ে ওঠে। আমাদের অতিথিশালা ছিল খুব বড়ো এবং একটা বসার জায়গা ছিল সেখানে বসে
আমরা সারা জঙ্গলকে দেখেছিলাম। আমি সেখানে অনেক আওয়াজ যেমন পেঁচার ডাক, সিংহের গর্জন শুনেছিলাম।

In about eighty words write an autobiography of au owl enjoying the night. —আশিটি শব্দে রাত্রি উপভোগ্য

Ans. I am an owl. I am a wild bird. I sleep at day and room at night. Night is very
interesting to me. I roam at night for my food. The bright moon helps me to find out my way, and my prey as well. Night sky looks very beautiful with moon and stars. They gives light brighty and night became bright and beautiful. In this night I enjoying very much.
(আমি একটি পেঁচা। আমি একটা বন্য পাখি। আমি দিনের বেলায় ঘুমোই ও রাত্রিতে ঘুরে বেড়াই। আমার কাছে রাত্রি খুব কৌতূহলী। আমি খাদ্যের জন্য রাতে ঘুরে বেড়াই। চাঁদের উজ্জ্বল আলো আমাকে রাস্তা খুঁজে পেতে সাহায্য করে আর শিকার খুঁজে পেতেও। রাত্রের আকাশ চাঁদ ও তারার জন্য খুবই সুন্দর দেখায়। তারা উজ্বল আলো দেয় সেই আলোতে রাত্রিও উজ্জ্বল এবং সুন্দর হয়ে ওঠে। এই সব রাত্রি আমি খুব উপভোগ করি।
